The Suburban Realtors Alliance (SRA) has launched a newly redesigned website at www.suburbanrealtorsalliance.com. The new site is more mobile friendly, more visually appealing and has new features.

“We invite all 13,000 of our shareholder members to explore our new site and get the most out of the SRA as a membership benefit,” said SRA president Jamie Ridge. “Our website, with the municipal database and weekly news briefs, has long been a valuable tool for Realtors, and we’ve made it even better.”

The SRA contracted Accrisoft Corporation to develop the site. The site’s features and tools include:

Municipal Database

*available only to shareholder members.
The municipal database provides information on local resale inspection requirements, rental regulations, sign ordinances and other important information.
What’s new: The database has been redesigned to be easier and quicker to read, with important information placed higher. Also, news briefs relevant to each municipality now show up at the bottom of the entry.

Local Tax Calculator

*available only to shareholder members.
The new Local Tax Calculator can be used to estimate taxes in a given municipality.
What’s new: The tax calculator is entirely new to the SRA website. The calculator utilizes tax rates and other data that are already stored in the municipal database. The user enters the municipality, assessed property value, annual income and other data. The calculator returns local property taxes, per capita taxes, local earned income taxes and transfer taxes. It also computes annual taxes as a percentage of annual income.

Weekly News Briefs

Each week, the SRA publishes a roundup of news briefs of interest to real estate professionals.
What’s new: On the new site, particularly important briefs are included on the Featured News Briefs page. Featured briefs appear on the homepage and also at the bottom of municipal database listings for their respective municipalities.

Tips for Realtors

The site has general tips for Realtors from a local perspective, such as using the SRA database, understanding the use and occupancy process, and checking on resale requirements from municipal authorities that are sometimes neglected.

Act 133

The site offers an overview of the 2016 amendment to PA’s Municipal Code and Ordinance Compliance Act, including key facets of the law and best practices for Realtors.

Realtor Guide to Elected Officials

The site offers a guide that explains how each elected office impacts real estate. It also has legislative maps and links to sample ballots for each county.

Maps

Interactive Maps show municipal boundaries, school districts and legislative districts.

As noted above, the Municipal Database and Local Tax Calculator are available only to members of the SRA’s two shareholder associations:
