On Oct. 22, Gov. Josh Shapiro signed Senate Bill 838 into law as Act 100. The bill, which passed both the Pennsylvania House and Senate unanimously, was a priority for the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors during the legislative session. It amends the Private Licensed Schools Act to clarify that real estate and appraiser schools are exempt. The new law ensures that the schools are not subject to duplicative regulation and fees within the commonwealth, as they are already regulated by the Department of State.
