Lower Chichester residents seek answers on potential data center plans

Published Friday, October 2, 2026

Lower Chichester Township commissioners assured residents that their voices will be heard as concern about a possible data center ripples through the community. Officials spoke to residents about a proposed 443,000-square-foot project along Ridge Road, mostly in Trainer Borough but with a portion in Lower Chichester. Lower Chichester has issued a zoning decision that a data center is not a permitted use in the township Limited Industrial District because the township does not yet have enough information about the project. Developers of the proposed facility are promising to engage with the community as the company explores options. Trainer officials have not publicly discussed any plans. The developer, Link Logistics, has not applied for a building permit in either municipality. “Believe me, we are going to be involved if this goes forward,” said Francis Catania, Lower Chichester’s solicitor. “Part of it is in Lower Chichester Township, maybe only 10 percent … and the residents who are most affected by this are all from Chichester.”
