Bristol Township adds two more to blight reduction list

Published Friday, July 31, 2026

Bristol Township's decade-long blight reduction program has cut its vacant housing list from 204 properties in 2015 to just 21 as of July. Five of the 21 are already being redeveloped through the Redevelopment Authority of Bucks County. The latest action targeted a subdivided lot at 5606-5608 Tremont Street, where the owner—who has owned the property since 1988 but hasn't responded to enforcement letters since 2025—let one unit fall into fire-damaged, utility-less disrepair while the other sat nearly abandoned, prompting the township council to formally declare the parcel blighted under Pennsylvania's Urban Redevelopment Law.
