Perkasie Borough has announced the official acquisition of the Kratz family’s garden property, solidifying its place as a permanent part of the borough’s park system. The Kratz family allowed the borough to use the privately owned land for a seasonal community garden since 2007. Managed by the Perkasie Parks and Recreation Department, residents and nonresidents were encouraged to take on a 10′ x 10′ garden plot.
