Marple Township has posted information about proposed improvements to the Route 3 (West Chester Pike) interchange with Interstate 476, near the Haverford Township line. The proposed improvements include the delineation/separation of the westbound Route 3 off-ramp to the northbound I-476 on-ramp from the signalized intersection at South Lawrence Road. The surrounding land use is primarily commercial along Route 3, with some forested undeveloped land surrounding Darby Creek that crosses under Route 3 and parallels I-476 within the corridor.
