Bucks Realtors help make Quakertown park cooler

Published Friday, October 27, 2023

The Bucks County Association of Realtors (BCAR) received a $7,500 placemaking grant from the National Association of Realtors, which was used for the installation of a shade canopy at Quakertown’s Park at 4th. The new canopy stands over the bike rest area at the corner of Fourth and Mill streets. Incoming BCAR president Stephanie Garomon cut a ceremonial ribbon on Oct. 17 to introduce the canopy, flanked by representatives from borough government, Quakertown Alive, BCAR and the Suburban Realtors Alliance, which helped procure the grant. Future upgrades will include new benches, signage, planters and a bike rack.
