Residential Resale Inspection Information

Point of Sale Inspection Required: Yes
Inspection Fee: $65 single family
Reinspection Fee: Max 2 inspections - after two another fee is required

Handrails - Is required with steps having three or more risers.
Broken windows - Windows must be in good working condition with no broken glass and windows must have screens.
Peeling paint - Overall condition of the exterior (siding, painting, gutters, etc.).
House numbers - Must be posted at front of unit 3 1/2 inch minimum.
Roof - Condition of roof, if visible from the street.
Sheds - Condition of shed and garage.

Open House Directional Signs:
  • Owners permission needed, signs may be a maximum of 3 sq. ft. Directional signs for open houses can not be placed sooner than 72 hours prior to the open house, and must be removed within 24 hours after the open house. Sign ordinance in effect.
For Sale/Sold Signs:
  • Signs may be a maximum of 6 square feet. Not more than one sign can be places upon any property, unless the property fronts upon more than 1 street, then a sign can be placed on each frontage, although a double-sided sign(s) may be used. Sign may also indcicate that the property has been sold, but shall be removed within 72 hours following settlement, or 30 days, whichever is first. Sign ordinance in effect.
