Sidewalks and curbs  - Sidewalks and driveway aprons in good repair
Handrails  - Graspable handrail required (on external of building as well as internal) on at least one side for the entire length of the stair run where there are four (4) or more risers. Handrails to be mounted 34"-38" to top measured from stair nosing. Deck and porches must be structurally sound and guardrails must be present if more than 30" drop to grade, with rails 36" in heihgt minimum; no openings between rails larger than 4". Guardrails required on both sides of stairs if deck or porch is more than 30" above grade.
Rubbish - Property in a clean, safe and sanitary condition; no weed, rubbish or garbage
Broken windows - Window panes on house/garage in good condition and operable
House numbers  - Visible from the street, reflective (contrasting color) and minimum of 4" in height

From Parkside Borough website - Rental properties are to be inspected yearly for the safety of the tenant. The Borough Fire Marshal or Code Officer will be arranging to have these properties inspected for safety issues. A certificate will be issued upon the completion of this inspection to verify that your unit has been inspected.

Sale of a residential rental property also requires resale use and occupancy.
