What sites are at risk near you?

Preservation Pennsylvania, a private nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting historic places, keeps a running list of cultural sites that are considered to be at risk. The list also includes sites that have been “lost” or “saved.” 

The At-Risk Database includes:

• 9 sites in Bucks County
• 18 sites in Chester County
• 7 sites in Delaware County
• 13 sites in Montgomery County

And lots of other interesting sites across the state, like:

• A house shaped like a shoe in York County (saved)
• A giant coffee pot in Bedford County (saved) that once housed a lunch stand and apartment
