President/CEO - Jamie Ridge

clientuploads/Images/jsr.jpgJamie is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Suburban REALTORS® Alliance, including its staff, budget and programs. He works closely with the Alliance's Board of Directors to serve its shareholders and accomplish its mission. He also serves as chief lobbyist and is responsible for directing the Alliance's political, legislative and public relations initiatives.

Previously, Jamie worked in Philadelphia as regional director of public affairs for Fannie Mae, the nation's largest source of financing for home mortgages. At Fannie Mae Jamie was responsible for guiding the public affairs outreach efforts of the company’s 160-member regional office and 11 Community Business Centers throughout the northeast. He began his career at Fannie Mae in 1998 as manager of communications.

Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Jamie was national communications director for the Concord Coalition, a 250,000 member grassroots organization founded by former U.S. Senators Paul Tsongas (D-MA) and Warren Rudman (R-NH). In 1997, the Coalition was named the most effective grassroots lobbying organization on Capitol Hill by congressional staff.

From 1990 to 1995, Jamie served as press secretary of the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, a bipartisan Congressional commission that monitors human rights throughout the republics of the former Soviet Union and Central and Eastern Europe.

Jamie began his career on Capitol Hill in 1987 as assistant press secretary for former U.S. Senator Dennis DeConcini of Arizona. From 1989 to 1990, he served as managing editor of the Westside Chronicle, a weekly newspaper in his hometown of Glendale, Arizona.


Government Affairs Manager - Erin Smist

clientuploads/Images/ErinSmistWeb.jpgErin is responsible for coordinating the public affairs efforts of the Alliance's Shareholder Associations. Erin is also responsible for municipal ordinance analysis and coordinating grassroots outreach efforts in Chester and Delaware Counties. In addition, Erin administers the Alliance's Political Action Committee (SERPAC), contributes to website, and provides general administrative support for all corporate, legislative and political activities.

Along with her work at the Alliance, Erin serves on the board of directors of the Housing Equality Center. Prior to joining the Alliance, Erin graduated from Rosemont College of Pennsylvania in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and English Literature. She received her Masters of Arts degree from Lehigh University in Political Science in 2005.

 

Communications Manager - Pete Kennedy

Pete sets and guides the strategy for all communications, and articulates the mission and accomplishments of the Alliance. He edits weekly news briefs, web content, social media, press releases and annual reports.

Before joining the SRA, Pete worked for three years as the communications director at the Ministry of Caring Inc., a nonprofit in Delaware that provides shelter, nutrition and other services to the homeless and poor. From 2010 to 2013, he was the founding editor of Malvern Patch, a hyperlocal news website serving the Chester County municipalities of East Whiteland, Willistown and Malvern. Pete graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in English Writing.

 

Administrative Assistant - Bobbi Wenk

Bobbi is responsible for coordinating the maintenance of the Suburban REALTORS Alliance municipal database. Her activities also include monitoring local news and public notices, coordination of internal and external communications, and general administrative support for all corporate, legislative and political activities.

Bobbi’s previous experience includes over ten years at Augustine & Company MSL. As customer support manager, Bobbi maintained a service relationship with over 100 municipalities that used the company’s various municipal software systems, including fund accounting, payroll, code enforcement and utility billing.
